Pike Nurseries announces second location coming to Charlotte this fall!

Largest independent garden retailer hosting career fair for new store on August 25

Pike Nurseries management announced today plans for expansion in the Charlotte, N.C. area. The Southern institution will plant its second store in the Charlotte suburb of Matthews, taking the guesswork out of gardening starting in late September. Offering gardening enthusiasts superior knowledge and a quality selection of plants and outdoor accessories, Pike Nurseries is the go-to garden center for all landscaping needs!

“We are elated to open a second Pike Nurseries store in the Charlotte market and continue to expand our presence in North Carolina,” said Mike Kunce, Pike Nurseries CEO. “When looking to join the community, we seek neighborhoods that will appreciate our horticultural knowledge along with quality and service. We found this in Matthews, and we look forward to growing strong roots here for years to come.”

In preparation for the new location, Pike Nurseries will host a Career Fair on Thursday, August 25 from 8 a.m. –12 p.m. at the Ballantyne store, located at 12630 N Community House Road. The nation’s largest independent garden retailer plans to add approximately 30 associates – in sales and operations – to its new Matthews store in the coming weeks. Applicants who love plants, people and playing in the dirt are encouraged to attend.

Pike Nurseries offers ample opportunities for growth and development not only within the company but also within its sister company, Armstrong Garden Centers, in California. Employee benefits with Pike Nurseries include structured training programs, sales incentives, employee discounts, a comprehensive insurance program and more.
