Seasonal job opportunities are abloom at largest independent garden retailer

Spring is right around the corner, which means jobs are in full bloom at the nation’s largest independent garden retailer. Pike Nurseries will add more than 200 seasonal associates to its metro-Atlanta and Charlotte locations in the coming weeks. Whether applicants are experienced sales professionals, retail managers or hobby gardeners, the neighborhood garden center has available positions for anyone who loves plants, people and playing in the dirt. Interested candidates are encouraged to attend the Pike Nurseries Career Fair on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. at any store location to learn about position descriptions, qualifications and benefit information. Applications will be available during this time, as well as at all Pike Nurseries locations and online.

Pike Nurseries is focused on exceeding customers’ expectations by offering superior knowledge, quality and selection in a friendly, caring environment. The garden center is seeking applicants at every knowledge level – from budding high school students to those with a rooted background in horticulture looking for a career. Employees must be prepared to proactively engage with customers, take the guesswork out of gardening, care for the store’s plants and more. Pike Nurseries strives to retain great associates and those who excel may receive an opportunity for long-term employment with the growing company.

As an employee-owned company, Pike Nurseries offers ample opportunities for growth and development not only within the company but also at its sister company Armstrong Garden Centers, located in California. Employee benefits with Pike Nurseries include company stock ownership options, structured training programs, sales incentives, employee discounts, paid vacation and holiday time, beautiful company facilities, a comprehensive insurance program and more.
